On this page you will find some more information about how to start planning your Open Day, including a checklist of recommended activities and a breakdown of the different areas of the programme.
There’s plenty to explore, so we recommend you plan to visit 6 to 10 places during the day. When planning keep in mind that the University of Cambridge is spread across a variety of locations within the city - there are 29 undergraduate Colleges alone!
Check the programme for full details and locations, to help schedule your day.
With so much on offer, below is our suggested to-do list for your Open Day:
Cambridge is a Collegiate university, so you should plan in time to visit some of the Colleges as you will spend a lot of time in your College if you study at Cambridge. There are 29 undergraduate Colleges and you will not be able to visit all Colleges during the Open Day. We would recommend preparing a short list before your arrive, and trying to see a range of Colleges within that list.
You can find out more about what the Colleges will be offerring in the Open Day programme.
If you're not sure where to start or just want some general advice about Colleges and College choice before you arrive you can watch the recording of the Choosing A College webinar which took place before the Open Days in July and read more on our website. During the Open Day you can also visit the Colleges information stand in the Student Services Centre.
You can visit the Student Services Centre to talk to representatives from a range of support services at Cambridge. This includes the Accessibility and Disability Resource Centre, the Central Admissions Office and the International team, as well as the sports, music and careers services. Find out more information in the programme.
